Eldorado Springs Pool
A historic outdoor swimming pool at the mouth of Eldorado Canyon near Boulder, fed by the area's artesian warm springs and reopened after a long renovation. It operates in summer and on September weekends. This is a warm swimming pool rather than a hot soak.

Indian Hot Springs
A historic spa in Idaho Springs with separate men's and women's geothermal cave baths, a mineral-water swimming pool and private tubs. Lodging, a restaurant and spa services are on site. Prices and cave rules should be confirmed directly, as public listings conflict.

Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa

Radium Warm Springs
A warm spring pool above the Upper Colorado River near the hamlet of Radium, southwest of Kremmling. The BLM directs visitors to a trailhead at the end of Warm Springs Road, because the old social trail from the CPW Mugrage site is closed to protect bighorn sheep habitat. A fee campground and river access are nearby at the Radium Recreation Area.

Old Town Hot Springs
A non-profit community hot springs and fitness center in downtown Steamboat Springs, fed by the Heart Spring, which flows at about 102-103°F. Alongside several soaking pools and a cold plunge it has water slides, lap swimming, a gym and a climbing wall. Day admission is walk-in.

Strawberry Park Hot Springs
Rustic stone-lined pools in a forested valley about 7 miles from downtown Steamboat Springs, reached by a partly unpaved road that requires 4WD and winter tires from November through April. Visits are booked in 2-hour slots and paid in cash. Pools are clothing-optional and limited to adults after dark.

Charlotte Hot Springs & Botanical Gardens
A small family-run hot springs west of Buena Vista that opened to the public in 2024 after decades of planning by the Merrifield family. It has three outdoor pools set among botanical gardens and geothermally heated greenhouses. Current prices and booking rules were not posted online, so call ahead.

Cottonwood Hot Springs Inn & Spa
A rustic inn west of Buena Vista with soaking tubs fed by artesian hot springs, a river cold plunge and a dry sauna. Day soaks are walk-in friendly and swimsuits are required. Lodge rooms and cabins include soaking access.

Antero Hot Springs Cabins
Three rental cabins on Chalk Creek, each paired with its own hand-built private soaking pool fed by an on-site hot spring. There are no day passes; soaking comes with an overnight stay. The cabins sit between Mount Antero and Mount Princeton, about 15 minutes from Buena Vista.

Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort
A large resort below the Chalk Cliffs between Buena Vista and Salida, with a historic bath house, terraced upper pools, an infinity pool and natural soaking spots along Chalk Creek. Day passes are walk-in, and summer adds twin water slides. An adults-only spa pool area is reserved for lodging guests and spa clients.

Deer Valley Hot Springs Ranch
A cabin and lodge ranch in Chalk Creek Canyon whose pool and hot tubs are filled with hot spring water and treated for cleanliness. The pools are for ranch guests and open 9 am to 9 pm year-round, closing early on Mondays for cleaning. Sport courts and trails are on the property.

Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center
A city-owned indoor hot springs pool complex in Salida, built in 1937 as a WPA project and filled with geothermal water piped from springs near Poncha Springs. It combines lap swimming with hotter soaking pools and is promoted as one of the largest indoor hot springs facilities in the US. Hours change seasonally, so check the city calendar.

Conundrum Hot Springs
High-elevation backcountry pools in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, about 8.5 miles one way from the Conundrum Creek trailhead near Aspen. Camping anywhere in the zone requires an advance Recreation.gov permit and use of your reserved site, and dogs are not allowed. Bear canisters are mandatory overnight, and the Forest Service asks visitors to pack out human waste.

Dakota Hot Springs
A naturally flowing, unchlorinated geothermal pool west of Penrose that is swimsuit-optional most days and describes itself as family-friendly. Visits are booked online in two 5-hour sessions, and it is closed Mondays for cleaning. Tent sites and camper rentals are available to soakers.

Yampah Spa & Vapor Caves
A spa built over natural underground steam caves heated by a 125°F geothermal spring, with three rock chambers that run around 110-113°F. Cave time is bundled with spa treatments and must be reserved ahead. Swimsuits are required and visitors must be at least 13.

Desert Reef Hot Springs
An adults-only, suits-optional geothermal soaking spot in the high desert near Florence, with overnight stays in vintage Airstreams, tiny homes or van campsites. Swimsuits are required on Friday daytimes, and some hours are reserved for members. It was temporarily closed for day soaks at time of check (Oct 19-Nov 10, 2026).

Glenwood Hot Springs Resort
A large downtown resort built around the Grand Pool, which stretches more than two city blocks, plus a 104°F therapy pool. The newer Yampah Mineral Baths add three hot pools between roughly 95 and 104°F and two cold-contrast baths, and that area turns adults-only after 5 pm. Day passes are sold without reservations, and the resort runs two hotels on site.

Iron Mountain Hot Springs
A modern soaking complex beside the Colorado River with dozens of small mineral pools ranging from about 89 to 112°F. An adults-only (21+) tier adds a sauna area, plunge pools and WorldSprings-style pools, while a family zone serves younger children. Passes are tiered and cheaper when booked online.

Avalanche Ranch Cabins & Hot Springs
A cabin ranch in the Crystal River Valley south of Carbondale with three tiered natural pools, the largest fed by a small waterfall in front of a rock grotto. Day visitors book 4-hour slots in advance, while cabin and wagon guests have round-the-clock access. Pools are drained and cleaned every Wednesday.
Penny Hot Springs
Rock-ringed pools on the west bank of the Crystal River just off Highway 133 north of Redstone, partly owned and managed by Pitkin County Open Space. Access is free and year-round from a small roadside pullout. River levels decide conditions, and the pools are often under cold water during spring runoff.
