Privacy policy

Find a Soak is a free guide to hot springs. There are no accounts, no sign-ups and no forms, and we don't sell personal information. Last updated November 2026.

What we collect

• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Our host, Cloudflare, also keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site.
• Email you send us. If you email us a correction or a photo, we keep the message and your address only to reply and, for photos, to credit you by the name you give us.

Outside services the site uses

• Maps. Maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap and the map code from unpkg.com, so your browser contacts those servers when a map is on screen.
• Affiliate links. "Places to stay" links go through Stay22, which may set cookies so that a booking can be credited to us. See Stay22's privacy policy. Booking sites you reach from there have their own policies.
• Links out. Venue websites, land agencies, Google Maps directions and Wikimedia Commons photo pages are separate sites with their own privacy practices.

Children

The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the guide works without them. To ask what we hold about you, or to have an email or credit removed, write to hello@findasoak.com.

Changes

If we add a service that collects more (for example, display ads), we'll update this page first.
