Arizona Hot Spring
- Free
- 2.5 mi hike
Spring-fed pools in a narrow canyon above the Colorado River in Lake Mead National Recreation Area, a few miles south of Hoover Dam. The Park Service rates the 5-mile round-trip hike very strenuous, with scrambling and a 20-ft ladder, and closes the trail every year from May 15 to September 30 because of heat. The spring water runs about 111-120°F.
Trails also close outside the season when Willow Beach forecasts reach 95°F or flash floods are possible.
